CLAIRE LOWE, CEO AND EXECUTIVE PRINCIPAL

Claire has been the CEO and Executive Principal of Inspire Learning Partnership (formerly The Inspire Learning Federation) since October 2014; prior to that she was the Executive Headteacher of Blackfield Primary and Fawley Infant Federation. She moved to the Federation in September 2008 after holding the Headteacher role at a small village primary school in the New Forest.

She holds an MA(Ed) and more recently was appointed as a founding fellow to the Chartered College of Teaching, recognition of her total commitment to the profession over the past 25+ years.

Through her fellowship she hopes to bring :

Insight into the current state of the profession of how learning and teaching works in a school/MAT;

Passion for improving the retention of teachers and for securing their continued development.

Her deeply rooted values of innovation, nurture, passion, integrity, responsibility and excellence to make Learning Irresistible for all learners young and old are borne out in the work that she carries out with schools and the teams that make them magical places to learn and work.

She encourages and is developing a culture of deep reflection across the Trust and all staff are supported to be leaders of learning in their classrooms. She has a passion for growing leaders and has had success in several schools in developing teachers from NQTs to senior leadership through a mix of coaching, structured development plans and school to school support. She has held an LLE role supporting the leadership teams of several schools across the primary phase and also has been seconded to schools to act as an Interim Headteacher.

She believes passionately that all children should receive the best education possible and works with Trust staff to ensure that every child achieves or exceeds their goals. This, coupled with her commitment to working with a wide range of partners and networks to improve outcomes for pupils, ensures that the children in her Trust are afforded the best possible opportunities to succeed.

Claire is an ambassador for Women Leading in Education and #WomendEd, championing women who seek to develop their careers in education. She takes an active role in regional conferences and encourages visits to all the academies within Trust to showcase the learning that is taking place on a daily basis.

Outside of work Claire has a passion for fitness, food and nutrition and enjoys reading widely. She loves being a Mum to two teens who keep her up to date with new technology.

MANDY HOOPER, ASSOCIATE PRINCIPAL

Mandy has worked across the education sector from nursery to adult learning in a variety of fields and covering all qualifications in Mathematics and English Literature as well as Key stage 1, Key Stage 2 and Early Years Development.

She holds an MA(Ed) focussed on Mathematics Mastery - Pedagogy and Practice and believes through its principles that intelligence is not predetermined, that every child and adult have the capacity to achieve and that extra time, resilience and effort lead to successful outcomes. She is a Mathematics SLE, leading teams across the county in developing the best possible provision in the subject through small step teaching, planning and assessment, equity of provision and driving thinking through dialogue and metacognitive approaches.

Mandy was recently appointed as a fellow to the Chartered College of Teaching, in recognition of her research work with other professionals (John Hattie), leading change through developing and supporting others and for her passion for learning.

Most recently, her work in the Blackfield Nursery has resulted in the setting accreditation to the Curiosity Approach©, a modern-day approach to Early Childhood. Taking parts from Reggio, Steiner, Te Whāriki and a sprinkle of Montessori it develops the spirit of the learner with the freedom to appreciate through the infinite resources of their hands, eyes and ears.

Mandy loves data, number crunching and looking for patterns and anomalies. This helps the Trust in drilling down to reveal additional details and supports users in navigating to different layers of granularity to improve provision and outcomes for children.

Beyond work, Mandy has a passion for reading, the sea and travel. She loves to create new ideas and will try anything at least once! She is devoted to her family including her husband of nearly 40 years; being a Mum to two grown-up children who continue to hold fast to the same values with which they were raised is joyous and being a Nanna to a baby girl who arrived in the family at 6 months old has brightened every moment of every day.
